Sand flies

We´ve entered the West Coast of the South Island. Sandfly country. Sandflies are fruitfly sized gnats that can sting like a motherfucker. And if you´re unlucky they descent on you in swarms. The cunts. So you either have to avoid water areas (especially the beach!) or use DEET insect repellent. Little bastards! Once we leave this side of the Island we should be OK again.
